Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., series X, J size, 15 jewels, stem wind and set, cotes de Geneve decorated nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws and whiplash micrometric regulator in a gold filled, reeded edge, engine turned and engraved open face case, Arabic numeral, outer red 5-minute markers, single sunk white enamel dial, blued steel umbrella hands, serial #501086, c1900.
CONDITION:
CASE: Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Engine turning with moderate wear; Gold filled with minor brassing; Crystal cracked; Crown worn. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, very light; Crack, 4:00. HANDS: Minor oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Regulator assembly and screw heads with specks of oxide; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Not running, gummy, good staff.
